Talent data by Chris Baldwin / Talents Forever, made available through its JSON export under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Forever Builds normalizes identifiers and prerequisite records, adds validation and versioned sharing, and presents the data in its own interface.
The source identifies the talents as extracted from beta client 1.60.1.69876. Recorded describes source coverage; we have not independently checked these talents in a playable client. Beta tuning can change.
Cross-checks and references
All 468 talent names, tree positions, rank caps and prerequisite requirements match the Wowhead Forever calculator payload inspected on the import date. This structural comparison does not establish that every tooltip value matches the live game.
The supplied Icy Veins calculator and WoW Forever Talent were reviewed as references. Icy Veins' interactive data was not accessible for a full independent comparison. WoW Forever Talent points to the same Talents Forever export.
What this calculator validates
Rank caps, five-point gates in earlier rows of the same tree, explicit full-rank prerequisites, and the standard budget from level 10 to 60. Legacy perks granting earlier talent points are not modeled. Lowering your level cannot erase or invalidate an allocation. A shared build with an unsupported revision or illegal ranks is rejected with its link intact.
Tooltips and artwork
Recorded rank descriptions are retained from the attributed dataset. Missing ranks stay unknown and source estimates are labelled if a later import contains them. The Classic comparison is source reference text and may refer to a different rank.
World of Warcraft names, icons, talent-tree artwork and game tooltip text belong to Blizzard Entertainment. Icons and tree backgrounds are served locally, retrieved from Talents Forever’s game-asset mirrors. The dataset’s licence does not transfer Blizzard’s separate rights. Forever Builds is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard.

Download the exact normalized dataset used by this calculator. Its revision is embedded in every saved and shared build. There is no automatic update during a page load or Docker build.
